In fact I don't usually charge for consultations. Most often it takes a few meeting to find out if I can produce what you want ... and to see if you can pay me what I want. Don't not contact me because you think I might be too expensive for your budget. Barter is good... I am looking for a 49 Dodge pickup. Had a lovely client in Florida who wanted some Tromp l'oeil, done in her newly built house. The contractor went over budget and there was no cash to spare. But... her husband was an electrician ! I was working on the Artists Cottage and really needed electrical work done. We all got what we wanted !

Speaking of Tromp l'oeil.... lots of people panic at the sight or sound of the word. It means, to fool the eye. Not unlike a good 'fairy glamor' ! Now there are a few people who don't really want me to create a mural for them. They just want to pick my brain... that's OK. BUT, after a call or two, I start to charge for my time and information. It's $12 per hour to talk. You may be one of those people, who knows from the start that you just need some basic information $50 in phone calls or meetings, could give you all the information you need to do the work yourself !
